President Rose Hudson announced that Kimberly Chopin has been promoted to Director of Communications for the Louisiana Lottery Corporation.

A member of the communications department for more than ten years, Chopin has held a number of positions, starting as the public information manager and transitioning into her most recent role as communications manager.

“Over the course of Kimberly’s tenure, Lottery communications have grown significantly from primarily media relations and governmental public information to a fully integrated corporate marketing communications area,” said Hudson. “I know she will continue to flourish in this new role.”

As communications director, Chopin is responsible for researching, planning and implementing coordinated marketing and public relations strategies, overseeing the Lottery’s communication with a variety of audiences including players, retailers, stakeholders and news organizations.

“It’s been exciting to watch the role of public relations explode at the Lottery, especially its convergence with marketing in brand journalism and the growth of social media,” said Chopin. “I’m looking forward to designing tactics to further engage our players, increase our products’ relevance to consumers and ultimately drive loyalty and sales.”
