2014 SAINTS Scratch-off Offers $100,000 Top Prize Plus New Game-Day Experience Second-Chance Prizes

As New Orleans Saints fans ask themselves whether this could be their year, the Louisiana Lottery is playing right along, launching its sixth $5 Saints-branded scratch-off game today. The 2014 SAINTS scratch-off is all about the Fleur-de-Lis, the team’s iconic logo, with three scenes emblazoned in shiny gold metallic ink. The game features four top prizes of $100,000 plus the opportunity to enter nonwinning tickets into a series of second-chance drawings to win unique game-day prize experiences or official autographed Saints merchandise.

 "We upped our game with this year’s experience prizes that include exclusive access to areas of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and game activities usually off-limits to fans," explained Lottery President Rose Hudson. "When players don’t win an instant prize on SAINTS, they can use it to enter their favorite second-chance drawing to win a one-of-a-kind experience guaranteed to make this Saints season one to remember!"

Four second-chance drawings will involve a total of 31 winners. During the first three drawings, one winner will each receive a game-day prize package that includes four Plaza Club Sideline tickets to a designated Saints home game, four pregame field passes, one night hotel accommodation (two rooms) and $500 spending cash. Also in each of the first three drawings, nine finalists will receive an official autographed Saints jersey, football or helmet. The type of experience prize won depends upon the drawing entry period.

Entries received from now until Sept. 15 will have a chance to win the 2014 Saints Tunnel Team Experience Prize Package with the winner and three guests on the field as the Saints come marching into the Mercedes-Benz Superdome ahead of the Oct. 5 game against Tampa Bay, plus a parking pass.

Entries received from Sept. 16 to Oct. 20 will be eligible to win the 2014 Deluxe Fan Experience Package including limousine transportation to and from the Nov. 9 game against San Francisco for the winner and three guests, plus four authentic Saints jerseys to declare their spirit.

Entries received from Oct. 21 to Nov. 17 will have a chance to win the 2014 Saints Behind the Scenes Game Day Experience, which includes a tour of the press box for the winner and three guests with access to the post-game press conference with players and coaches after the Saints host Carolina on Dec. 7, plus a parking pass.

Entries received after Nov. 18 until the to-be-announced deadline will be eligible to win a Saints 2015 Season Prize Package, including four Plaza Sideline tickets with pregame field passes for the 2015 pre-season and regular season, a 2015 parking pass and a VIP tour of the Saints practice facility. The winner and three guests will receive round-trip limo service to the facility in Metairie (or overnight accommodations if the distance exceeds 75 miles) where they will also view a team practice and have lunch in the team cafeteria.

To enter the second-chance drawings, players should complete the information on the back of non-winning $5 SAINTS scratch-off tickets and mail one ticket per envelope (no larger than 4.5" by 9.5") to the drawing address printed on the back of the ticket. Players can enter as many times as they wish, but each entry should be mailed in a separate envelope.

During the game’s lifecycle, the Lottery will also reward players who exhibit certain online behaviors such as uploading selfies containing the #fleurdelisme hashtag to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram after visiting retailers to purchase SAINTS tickets. The Lottery printed 1.2 million tickets, and approximate overall odds of winning an instant prize on the game are 1 in 3.96.
